The Law of Attraction is a very real universal law and your thoughts act like a magnet. When you have one thought, you begin to attract similar thoughts. The more thoughts you have, the stronger your ‘magnet’ becomes and you start to manifest those thoughts into reality.

The Law of Attraction says ‘like attracts like’. If your thinking is – “I am always sick”, or “I never have any luck”, that’s what you’ll continue to attract. The law of attraction doesn’t differentiate good from bad, it simply sends back what you are putting out.

Many people believe they are being positive when they say, “I don’t want to be sick anymore”, although this is actually a negative statement. The focus of attention is on being sick and this is what the universe picks up on, so what you’ll receive.

Feelings show where your energy vibration is. When you declare “I don’t want to run out of money” you’re coming from fear. The situations the universe returns to you reflect those emotions. To manifest what you want, you need to take a lot of notice of your thoughts, feelings, words and actions. If you don’t want to run out of money, you say “I am grateful to have plenty of money.” Think of a time when you did have enough money and re-experience that feeling. When you feel passionate or enthusiastic when you’re thinking about something you want, you’re matching your energy with the energy of your goal.

When you monitor your thoughts, you’ll notice some of them are quite negative – even the ones you thought were positive. Continue to use your new knowledge and change some of those thoughts – one by one. Any change you can make is going to bring you more positive experiences than what you are already having.

The first step is to decide on what you want and state it in a positive present tense. If you continuously shift your focus from one thing to another, you are not gathering enough power or intentions in anything to be able to create it. It is extremely important to keep your focus and intent very clear.

Secondly create the feeling– excitement, hope, pride etc and focus your awareness on what you want and feel those emotions. Keep frustration or disappointment out of your mind or you may block the law from working. The more positive energy you give it, the faster and clearer the outcome will be.

The law of attraction is powerful, but it’s not going to plonk the things you want in your lap because you’re thinking about them. It will create opportunities for you to succeed.

Say your goal is to buy your dream car, so you write it down and think about it and picture yourself driving your car and you feel all the positive emotions. Does that mean that when you wake up one morning your dream car will be in the driveway? Not likely.

You then plan and take some action steps. If your goal is to buy your car, you would make action steps of visiting car yards etc to find out how much this car is. You would research insurance and registration costs. Your next step is then to decide when you want to buy the car, and therefore how much you need to save each week to achieve this goal. The law of attraction will then bring new opportunities your way that will help you in achieving your goal.

The final step is to believe. Have belief in yourself and have belief in the universal laws that are working with you. Know that you have the power to make your dreams come true. The biggest mistake people make is that they give up too soon. To begin, you may find your manifesting a bit slow. This is just because you are new at focussing your thoughts on what you want; not because the Law of Attraction doesn’t work or that the universe doesn’t want to give you your desires. Persevere and it will get easier and you will begin to see astounding changes.
